Starchild:

I am not including your "motions to amend" as stated for the same reason I
declined the prior "motion to amend". A motion to amend is out of order if
there is no main motion. There is none at this time. Please offer these as
amendments at the LNC meeting.

Subject: [Lnc-business] AMENDMENT - Re: Motion for the July 15th 2012 LNC
meeting - on Potential Conflicts of Interest

Geoff,

Having the Secretary maintain such a list sounds reasonable. I
move to add the language "and guests" to the second sentence, and to allow a
form of distribution that saves paper, so that the revised sentence reads:

"This register will be presented and distributed to all LNC members and
guests at each regular LNC meeting, either in the form of a paper handout or
an announcement of where the document may be viewed online, with at least
one paper copy of the list always made physically available at the meeting
to be viewed by attendees."

In keeping with the observations about the LNC Policy Manual
that I made in my previous message, I also move to add a third sentence:

"This rule shall be binding during the term of the 2012-2014 Libertarian
National Committee, and thereafter shall take the form of a non-binding
recommendation which each future LNC may choose to either ignore or make
binding for its term."

Love & Liberty,

                                 ((( starchild )))

I move that the following be added to the Policy Manual(I don't know where
it should be inserted):

My reason: I cannot perform my duty as it regards to identifying potential
conflicts of interest without a coherent list. I also cannot tell where
this language should be inserted into the Policy Manual, because I don't get
how and why it's structured.
