[Lnc-business] Eligibility for National Convention Committees

The Bylaws state that the Convention Committees (Bylaws, Platform and
Credentials) be comprised of ten, twenty and ten "members", respectively.

The Bylaws also state that "only sustaining members shall be eligible to
hold National Party office".

The question I have is whether or not members of Convention Committees must
be sustaining members, because they meet the criteria of "National Party
office". Please do not debate this point I raise on the lnc-business list.
Argue away on lnc-discuss.

I bring this up here, because I think this can be argued either way.

I want to let you know that I have directed staff to identify the membership
status of each of the applicants on the final ballots we will use
(regardless of which method we use). I feel the information is useful to me
in making my voting choices, and I hope you will find it useful as well.
