Dear colleagues:

I hope all is well with you. I am writing in my capacity as
Secretary Pro Tem to provide you with an update about Mark Hinkle's
revised motion (moved by Geoff Neale) concerning the purchase of a building.

1) The voting period closed as of 5:05 p.m. EST today. Based upon the
votes I received as of that time, the vote totals are as follows (listed
in alphabetical order of surname):

Ayes (13): Blau, Capozzi, Cloud, Hagan, Hinkle, Kirkland, Lark, Mack,
Myers, Neale, Redpath, Vohra, Wrights
Nays (3): Olsen, Visek, Wiener

Note: Mr. Goldstein (Region 3 alternate) voted "nay"; his vote is
superseded by the "aye" vote of Ms. Mack. Ms. Capozzi (Region 4
alternate) voted "aye"; since Mr. Pojunis did not vote, her "aye" will
serve as one of the votes of Region 4. Dr. Lieberman (Region 4
alternate) voted "nay"; his vote is superseded by the "nay" vote of Mr.
Wiener. Mr. Blau (Region 5N alternate) voted "aye"; since Mr. Tomasso
did not vote, Mr. Blau's "aye" will serve as the vote of Region 5N.

2) Please review the vote totals above and contact me if there are any
errors. In particular, if you voted and your vote is not recorded (or
is recorded incorrectly), please forward to me previous messages in
which you cast your vote.

3) I am leaving in a few minutes to attend the Va. Tech - University of
Miami men's basketball game in Blacksburg this evening. I shall wait
until sometime tomorrow (Thursday, Jan. 31) to see whether there are any
corrections to the vote totals. Assuming there are no corrections, I
shall formally submit the vote totals to Mr. Neale.

As always, thanks for your work for liberty. Please do not
hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance to you.

     Take care,
     Jim
