[Lnc-business] 2014 Convention Committee Voting Procedure

Geoff,

Thanks for the correction on the number of LNC members. But I do think the elections to fill these three committees (Bylaws, Platform, and Credentials) should happen sequentially, like we do the voting at conventions, rather than all at once. We don't need such a long window (overnight) to cast our votes. At past LNC meetings, we've cast our ballots immediately following the close of nominations.

Dan Wiener suggested that written ballots list the names of candidates submitted prior to the LNC meeting, and I'm fine with that. Those ballots could be prepared in advance, with blank lines left for additional names to be written in on the spot if there are additional nominations at the meeting. Then we could each vote by simply circling the names of up to 10 of the individuals listed, making the ballots easy to tally and easy to read when displayed for public viewing.

Love & Liberty,
                                ((( starchild )))
