LNC,

Please note that I sent out the following note to the website On The
Issues.org.

I'd like to thank Wendy Adams, Louisiana state Executive Director, for
bringing this bug to my attention.

Dear webmaster,

As a member of the LP National Committee, I thank you very much for
including the Libertarian Party in your website content. Particularly since
the graph used in your ranking system is based upon the Nolan Chart that was
first conceived by our founder David Nolan, I'm sure your organization is
eager to provide insight on our positions that's most accurate for your
users. It's in that spirit that I'd like to bring a significant bug to your
attention.

The LP National Platform was significantly overhauled during our conventions
of 2006/2008/2010, so that all your references from prior platform planks
are generally obsolete. For your reference, I'm including the link to our
current 2014 platform.

As an initial point of contact, feel free to call me with any questions.
Since I was a member of the LP National Platform Committee for the three
terms in which most of the transformative changes were made, again 2006/2008
and 2010, I'm a pretty good resource regarding questions and/or comments.
In cases where I cannot provide a competent answer, I can contact the
necessary resources to duly respond to your questions.

Here's one example of an OnTheIssues statement that's really not consistent
with our current platform:

http://www.ontheissues.org/celeb/Libertarian_Party_Immigration.htm

The old plank said that the LP would "call for the elimination of all
restrictions". As you can read from the current platform plank below, our
current position is to support control over entry of foreign nationals to
<ed: who> pose a credible threat.

2014 National Platform Plank:

3.4 Free Trade and Migration

We support the removal of governmental impediments to free trade. Political
freedom and escape from tyranny demand that individuals not be unreasonably
constrained by government in the crossing of political boundaries. Economic
freedom demands the unrestricted movement of human as well as financial
capital across national borders. However, we support control over the entry
into our country of foreign nationals who pose a credible threat to
security, health or property.
