I supply this link as it represents an example (certainly not the only one)
of the strategy I have been proposing for years. We need affiliates which
are strong enough to attract libertarian minded, but electable, candidates
to run as a Libertarian (as Kansas has done). If we and LNCC and the Kansas
affiliate were financially stronger and able to back Keen Umbehr with a
$500,000 grub stake, we would have a legitimate shot (one chance in ten, in
a close race like this one, 35% wins it) at winning a governorship. If this
is done two or three times each election cycle, the probability of winning a
significant race becomes one in three. Over a couple of election cycles,
you get a winner that will put a big hole in the "you can't win" road block
that has been in our way for 43 years.
