[Lnc-business] 2015 and 2016 candidates with pledges

I'm mostly with Dr. Lieberman, although I would emphasize b far more
than a. In any case, the job of the Libertarian Party, within the
larger circle of the freedom movement, is to run candidates and elect
them to office. Talking a good game in the campaign, in the end,
doesn't move the policy needle, even if it moves the intellectual
needle. Our job, as a party, is to move the policy needle. Elected
Libertarians act every day to cut back regulations, make sure property
owners are protected from government intervention, and so on.
Candidates, as pure and great as they are, who are not elected do not
have the ability to do this.

I am interested in other ways to advance freedom too - but I keep them
separate from the LP.

It's true that elected officials do not immediately repeal all laws.
We do what we can - it's not perfect, but because of us, a few people
are freer. I cannot say the same for my losing races. No one is
freer because I lost for Comptroller.

If you want a large pulpit to provide inspiration, the LP fails
miserably due to lack of debate inclusion. Run as a Republican and
lose in the primary if you want exposure for your ideas. Run as a
Libertarian with the goal of winning a winnable office.

That's my opinion, anyway.
