In the Executive Director's latest fundraising letter, he says "almost every
day for the six months leading up to the November elections, I received
pleas for help by candidates and local LP activists". They wanted "better
tools on our website", and "more coaching for their campaigns and
volunteers."
Here is suggestion that will cost the LP nothing: The Leadership Institute
They usually include lodging with their courses, and their courses are very
affordable.
I would like to think that any serious LP candidate for public office in the
Eastern half of the country would be willing to take off a few days from
work and travel to Virginia to take one of their courses.
If the candidate is not willing to do that, are they really a serious
candidate? Even if the candidate himself or herself can't go, they could
always send their campaign manager or fundraising chair.
