[Lnc-business] Logos

Hi all,

Over the last week, I have considered various logos, shown them to various
people from all age groups, and read online responses.

Here's what I've gleaned.

1. The logo with the torch over the t, is clever and symbolic, but has
critical shortcomings. First, the image cannot be separated from the word.
Second, it seems lower energy and more bank-ish than many of the others.

2. My personal favorite, the L-bell, doesn't always read quickly enough.
When not understood, it loses power. With the huge scope of our party, that
would be a significant drawback.

3. The various forms of the statue of liberty are okay. I like the
aggressively front facing one that we often use on facebook. The old logo
statue of liberty is a bit too low-energy for my taste.

4. The Taylor torch appears to be most effective. It's higher energy, has a
separable image and word, is visually attractive with a modern appearance.

There is one other significant advantage of the taylor logo: it already has
associated visual branding. That means with this logo, we'd already have
integrated possible website appearance - a much better one than anything we
have now.

With all this in mind, I intend to change my support from the L-bell to the
taylor torch. While the L-bell will remain my personal favorite, I believe
that the overall interests of the LP are best served by the taylor torch.
