Dr. Block has not agreed with our recent description of libertarianism.
Some of you might be better equipped to weigh in on the topic than me.
Feel free to contact Dr. Block directly.

I'm forwarding as promised.

Dr. Block:

Coming up with the perfect definition of libertarianism is above my
intellectual capacity, and the times I've searched for the definition,
I've found a variety of definitions.

That's one reason I wrote a whole chapter on the issue, and gave various
definitions from various sources.

I'm going to forward your comments to our board. Some of them are on our
publications committee as well as our platform committee and convention
committee. They might have more thoughts on this issue.

I think it would be entertaining and informative to have you and maybe 3
others on a panel at a lunch at our national convention where each of
you have to submit a maximum one page definition of libertarianism in
advance, each of you on the panel should get each others' definitions in
advance, and then each of you debate the weakness or wrongness of the
others' definitions. Of course if the whole panel agrees on the exact
definition of libertarianism, count on me to quote it going forward.

Thanks for all you do for liberty, and especially for your recent work
helping to build interest in the Libertarian Party of Louisiana (even if
they did go into civil war mode and squander quite a bit of your support).
