This comment under the Rand Paul meme on our Facebook page sounds pretty
sincere to me:
" <https://www.facebook.com/DannyLewisAZ?fref=ufi> Dan Lewis The
Libertarian Party. Just as partisan as the DNC and GOP. It's about the
person and their principles. It's not the 2 party system we're sick of. It's
partisanship in general and LP is no different. As an advid Rand Paul
supporter AND Libertarian not only will I unlike your page but you have lost
my vote for your candidates in future elections."
As many of the commenters note, since neither Rand Paul nor Ron Paul have
ever spent a single day as
President nor Vice-President, and neither of them has ever lived in the
White House, the meme doesn't even make logical sense.

I bet an overwhelming majority of those commenting became followers of the
LP's Facebook page before the Rand Paul meme was posted. If there is a way
to find out, I hope the LP's Facebook team is willing to release the number
of commenters on that meme who joined before, vs. after, that meme was
posted.
And even if by some miracle the majority of those commenters were not
followers of the LP's Facebook page until today, and they have never
commented on any other LP Facebook post, it still means that the Rand Paul
campaign team, a year before the NH Primary, is able to get over 1000 of
their supporters to comment on a Facebook post on a minor party's web site
within 5 hours of its original posting.
Just to put that in perspective, the largest number of comments that ANY of
Governor Gary Johnson's January Facebook posts have received
as of TODAY is 571, and that post has been up for over a month.

The Rand Paul campaign has a social media team and I am directly aware of an
organized effort by that team to comment on that photo en masse and like the
comments that are pro-Rand Paul. This was a strategy adopted by both of the
elder Paul's Presidential campaign and it has been embraced by the younger
one.

it were not for Ron and Rand Paul. In fact, childish antics like

party---are the reason ...See More <https://www.facebook.com/libertarians>

Members,
So I have as of this morning already gotten at least 2 complaints about what
I understand is a recent post on the National LP Facebook page . While I
absolutely do not support Rand..and I think the Paul's staff is less
desirable than a rock sandwich, Ron Paul has done a lot to promote
libertarianism. Many of us would not be here if it were not for him. To
equate, the Paul's with the Clinton's and Bush's is misguided at best. One
of the people that complained is from my own local executive committee and
he had planned to become a national dues paying member and has specifically
stated he will not be doing so now. In fact that was what he specifically
contacted me this morning to say because of this. It's the bad judgement
calls that people controlling our social media continue to make that is
significantly hampering our ability to recruit. And at the very least it
cost us $25.but I have a feeling it cost us a lot more than that. I am
sure there are some that maybe like this..but this is such a clear net loser
for us.I just have to scratch my head at what people were thinking. I have
the original "picture" and also a picture one of the people that complained
to me posted. We just can't get out of our own way..I realize someone will
alway be unhappy, but there are some things that just are so clearly bad,
but we did them anyway.
