[Lnc-business] another Nolan Office reception at LNC meeting?

What makes you think that the amount of money you might raise will
compensate for the cost of food, and the staff time involved in planning
this event? I mean - if you raise $10,000 it will be worth the cost, but if
you only raise a couple of thousand dollars will that really make this a
cost-effective idea?
I am not against the idea of a Saturday night reception as long as neither
the Maryland, DC, nor Virginia Libertarian Parties, nor any other
libertarian organization, schedules an event for the Friday night before the
LNC Session.
Considering that we will be tied up in the meeting all day on Saturday and
at least half the day on Sunday, it is not a good idea to "use up" all of
our free time in the DC area with scheduled social events.

I'd like to have another reception at our office on the Saturday night of
our next LNC meeting which is July 18, 2015 in Alexandria, VA.
Here's a description of the 2014 event. I'd expect to do something similar,
such as 7-10 PM, etc.

A big difference will be that I think we should do a fundraising pitch at
this event to help pay off the mortgage.
We're beginning work on LP News and would like to nail this down in the next
week if possible.
So, please speak up soon if you are in favor or against another Saturday
evening reception at LPHQ.
Thanks,
