You want o use LP for brand recognition, but then give the examples of "Scotch Tape" or "Band-Aid" but you do not notice the difference. Instead of "Scotch Tape" suppose they used just "ST" and instead of "Band-Aid" they used "BA" They certainly would not have brand recognition with just the letters.
GOP needs initials to represent Grand Old Party. In ND we use DFL to stand for Democratic Farmer Labor Party.. But for Libertarian, we have just one word, and that one word is simple enough we do not need to abbreviate it (except to shorten it to say "Liberty"). Replacing Libertarian with LP just causes more voter confusion. Remember KISS = Keep It Simple Stupid. So, please stay away from just letters. We already have too many being used in our party communications that just turns off non-insiders and often causes un-noticed confusion. .
Maybe instead we need to pick out an animal to represent use. There are elephants and donkeys. What are we? Cows or Buffalos? Maybe we should be giving that some serious thought?????

Norm, you make some excellent points with which I agree. Vicki K.Region 2 Rep407 841-LP12 (5712)

This is excellent. As I have been saying for some time know, “LP” should be our brand and we should seek to make it as well known as “GOP”. Our logo should be a stylized (therefore trademarkable) “LP”. We could then use the trademarked logo to identify our materials as genuine, and still push “LP” as our brand. The goal is to make “LP” a brand with the same _level of recognition_ as “Scotch Tape” or “Band-Aid”. Subject: [Lnc-business] round LP sticker I've been asked to offer a small round sticker a few times over the years--we've offered a few in the past. I want to hold off on most things like that till we decide on the logo, but I thought I'd see if you think there might be interest in a sticker like this that doesn't have a logo on it. It would be a piece of cake to add to the store with the same color scheme as stickers and signs already there: http://lpstore.org/stickers-signs/
