[Lnc-business] February LNC Meeting

I'd be happy to respond to all of that.
1. No, it's not a motion. It has no binding authority under our rules.
But if 15 people respond and we still feel we need to defer to a proper
motion to get "the board's feel" then I'd be truly at a loss for words.
2. I would never silence anyone - ever, but this has just gotten silly. If
relevant information hasn't injected into the discussion within nearly SIX
weeks of conversation, then I'm not sure when it would be or why we should
wait on it further. This should not be a complicated task. I truly don't
mean to sound curt in that response, but surely the time for that has
passed.
3. I'm all for it. To echo Mr. Bittner: *PLEASE SHARE YOUR OPINION NOW IF
YOU HAVE ONE*. I would encourage anyone who has any relevant information
to put it out there. What I really struggle with here is our unwillingness
to place a hard deadline on this process. So I've created one. I guess
everyone can just ignore that deadline, but then the problem just becomes a
lack of participation.
Everyone has email. It takes literal seconds to respond. I'm totally
sympathetic to staff not being able to close this deal due to the holidays,
but that has no bearing on US doing OUR part. If one chooses not to voice
their opinion then my personal position is that their opinion is not
especially necessary to the conversation.
I wish I could force the participation, but I obviously cannot. I do hope
that at least clears up my intent behind the poll.
