LNC Members,
Jennifer Werther would like to be considered for the vacant At-Large
position. She put together a package that details her involvement with the
LP, as well as her commitment to our principles and goals. Please review
the attached information from Jennifer.
She will be in attendance on Sunday, and would happily address the group,
with the body's indulgence.

JENNIFER "HAP" WERTHER,LIBERTARIAN CANDIDATE FOR LNC AT-LARGE MEMBER
SINCE CONVENTION
I'm usually short and succinct in communications, but I want you to have
the most information in deciding between candidates for this position. If
you have read my information already on Facebook, you can just read this
part that is new:
I loved the Libertarian convention. I was a California Delegate, as my
Louisiana parish voted for Howard Kearney as Delegate and me as Alternate
with the state convention voting to go with the parishes' votes. I called
around and California accepted. I met a lot of new friends and allies.
Everyone did a great job coordinating and running the convention.
I am back working diligently in Louisiana for liberty. I've been busy. I'm
sure I'll leave something out.
As State Director, I have spent a lot of time working with many new state
and parish volunteers for the Gary Johnson campaign. Most have not been
active in the Libertarian Party, so there are at least 75 new Libertarian
volunteers and many of them are getting leadership experience as Parish
Coordinators. I created handouts, distributed, and walked in the New
Orleans Pride Parade; bought and delivered swag to two other parishes for
4th of July events; held our first fundraiser; and implemented other
coordination applications like Slack, Volunteer Spot, and Campaign Monitor.
I facilitated social engineering and encryption training to 40 Jr High and
HS students at a local Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)
camp.
In my parish, I am coordinating a stand-down event for non-aggression with
Louisiana For Our America and the Judicial Reform Louisiana Coalition.
For an event directed by Sarah Stewart to get C Michael Pickens' leadership
training to Louisiana, I'm working with the venue planning. I'm assisting
Sarah Stewart also in the Libertarian Party of Louisiana (LPL) Elections
Committee to support our candidates.
For the LPL Media Committee, I drafted a national convention media release.
I was working on a campaign, and Daniel Behrman was doing an awesome job on
a website with Vote Different, but I withdrew in support of another, Howard
Kearney for US House Congressional District 1, who has not run for office
before.
I was also able to attend the Vans Warped Tour, for its first time in 15
years to appear in New Orleans (checking if anyone is reading), and may be
able to help the LP of Colorado table at Riot Fest.
Why LNC At-Large Member Candidate?
"I saw the emails and Facebook postings and am still interested in the
At-large position. I cannot take Marc's place of course, and have no rap
skills. It is sad to come into a position because of that. I have the time
and means to represent our Libertarians nationwide and at times worldwide,
and it would be a great pleasure and privilege to do so. It is not taken
lightly. Vote Jennifer "Hap" Werther for LNC At-large Member! Principled.
"For the NAP, vote for Hap!" I definitely stand for non-aggression, natural
rights, and fiscal responsibility.
I'd like the LNC vote for LNC At-large Member. I'd like to be involved in
the LNC to assist in the growth and organization of the party. I bring
leadership, management, training, mentoring, membership, election, state
SCC, and parish (county) EC experience to the table.
For At-large Member, I am able to travel for meetings & can assist in:
- Expanding technology by assisting in application development and social
media efforts.
- Growing the party and keeping members by empowering and encouraging
participation, not running them off with negative actions and
communications.
- Spearheading, encouraging, and highlighting libertarian entrepreneurial
efforts in an Entrepreneur Technology Venture Mentor program with
volunteers and angels.
- Spearheading communications with newly registering high schoolers.
(Louisiana residents for instance can now register when getting their
drivers permit.)
- Only joining one subcommittee at a time to encourage others to be
involved in national.
- Encourage broadcasting across the LP the need for volunteers when
subcommittee positions are open.
- Encourage return of state chair meetings with LNC via skype, conference
calls, or voluntary travel.
- Encourage reduced spending and budget efficiency, including looking at LP
Expo and LSLA lessons learned.
- Assist in a subcommittee as needed.
- Build on the many great actions already taken by the LNC.
"I have no aspirations of political power or corruption as narcissists may.
I've lived through a lifetime already of a successful career, adventure,
with near-death experience, and am happy to volunteer for liberty."
Background Information

U.S. into a warring, droning, and spying united police state of tyranny,
and we have been in wars for almost 15 years straight now".
Jennifer Werther is a Retired Navy Chief and currently a Software

adventurer, hiker, camper, swimmer, reader, and zazen practitioner."
Libertarian Actions
"Jennifer Werther just ran for Sheriff of St Tammany Parish 2016 in one of
the parishes with the highest incarceration rates in the country, promoting
peace officers, not a police state. She got 3% of the voters with 1948
votes, had much media and debate access, and had the first
Parish-wide/District run for a Libertarian in Louisiana and first
Libertarian on the ballot in St Tammany. She quoted, "the election reached
more people than any tabling at events that I organized for 3 years. We
need to encourage and support more elections".
Hap is currently a Libertarian Party of Louisiana (LPL) Elections Committee
Member, LPL Media Committee Member, St Tammany PEC At-large Member, and
active in several libertarian movement organizations such as State
Director, Louisiana For Our America; Founder and State Coordinator,
Judicial Reform Louisiana Coalition; Cofounder and Treasurer, National
Organization of Libertarian Women; and Member, Outright Libertarians and
Outright Louisiana. She is Cofounder of Liberty Month, presenting 30 days
of different liberty issues, online advocacy, and events.
She was the Libertarian Party of Louisiana Secretary and organized numerous
activities as St Tammany Parish Executive Committee (PEC) Membership
Coordinator from 2013-2016, seeing the Libertarian registration nearly
double in the state and did double in the parish.
Hap considers herself part of Rothbard's radical caucus, as well as the sex
caucus, and encourages the youth caucus. She is active in supporting
libertarian movement college programs such as hosting out of state students
for the Students For Liberty Regional Conference, supported Loyola College
Libertarians and UNO Tocqueville Project, and was a member of Young
Americans for Liberty at Tulane. She also goes to conferences for IT,
entrepreneurship, and libertarianism like New Orleans Entrepreneur Week,
Collision Conference, and Mises Circles.
Jennifer Werther was a local door-to-door, sign-waving, and social media
advocate for Gary Johnson's 2012 campaign, who also got 10 friends and
family members from outside of the Libertarian Party to vote for him."
In Closing
I thank you for consideration and look forward to assisting in the growth
and organization of the Libertarian Party.
Jennifer "Hap" Werther,
Libertarian Candidate For LNC At-Large Member
For the NAP, vote for HAP!
