Allen, it's rare for the national LP to give cash contributions to individual campaigns. However, there are exceptions. This year, the LNC has contributed $10,00 to John Moore for State Assembly in Nevada, and $20,000 to Mark Miller for Railroad Commissioner in Texas. I think that's all of the contributions given directly to candidates in 2016. Deciding cash contributions to candidates is not a decision that is up to staff. The entire LNC votes on it. To be considered for a cash contributions, send the request to your LNC representative, Ed Marsh. (I've gone ahead and copied him on this email, as well as alternate Steven Nekhaila and the At-Large LNC members). Thanks for all you're doing, and best of luck to you.

You don’t need to outrun the bear; you just have to outrun whoever is near you.. My name is Brian Jackson, and I am a campaign staffer for Allen Buckley (http://www.buckleyforsenate.com/), the Georgia Libertarian Party’s U.S. Senate candidate in the state of Georgia. In the wake of what can charitably called “one of the most interesting run-ups to an election in living memory”, our campaign has several ideas for some targeted advertising in the run up to a televised debate (Sun. Oct 23rd, 6pm eastern on Georgia Public Television) with Jim Barksdale(D) and Sen. Johnny Isakson(R).  We would like your help.  We need your help.  As a small, all-volunteer, largely self-funded campaign, we lack many of the resources to get the word out to the people of our great state that there is a choice.   There is someone they can vote for and not just two people to vote against. Currently, no one is polling at 50% statewide for either federal or statewide elections (Georgia requires over 50% to be elected, otherwise there is a runoff between the two highest vote counts for statewide elections- http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-forecast/georgia/), and a recent Georgia National Fair Poll shows Buckley outpacing Gary Johnson (10.9% vs 9.7%), a fact indicative of his support being homegrown, and not owing his success solely to the up-ticket race. Even the Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC) has noted that a runoff election is likely (http://politics.blog.ajc.com/2016/10/12/a-donald-trump-implosion-could-put-georgia-back-in-play/ ).  In addition to being likely, the paper notes that it will may not favor a republican depending on the outcome of the election.  That brings us to: “You don’t need to outrun the bear; you just have to outrun whoever is near you.” To that end, we don’t need to win this first ballot, we just need a fighting chance at the second one. To get to the second ballot, the runoff, we just need to not come in third on the first ballot.  We are confident that Buckley’s debate performance will woo voters, and we are hopeful that the more people who hear his message of fiscal responsibility and freedom will pull the lever for Buckley and help #BuckTheSystem.  For that we have an aggressive, but lean, media strategy planned.  Voters should not need a clothespin to vote. We are hoping to reach out to many would-be republican voters and show them they can be true to their values, their ideals, and vote for a fiscal conservative, and not have to “hold their nose” in the voting booth.  At the same time, we hope our message on social justice and governmental non-inference will resonate with the “never Hillary” crowd of Democrats and disaffected Bernie Sanders voters.  We also feel that most libertarians would stick with us through both rounds of balloting. Better ideas. Better candidate. Minimum cost. Maximum impact. That is the plan in a nutshell.   Pull a few voters from each side in the first ballot, enough to edge out Barksdale(D) who no one expects to win in Georgia regardless; then get into a one-on-one with Isakson(R) and attempt to wrest those “never Trump” voters, actual fiscal conservatives, and others to Buckley’s cause, while encouraging the democrats who (in this scenario) don’t have a dog in this race, to come out and vote because let’s face it, a loss for the Republican, is as good as a win for the democrats at this point (especially if it means the senate does not stay in Republican hands). Any resources you can send our way to affect this outcome would be greatly appreciated, and would certainly help to bolster the Libertarian brand. We, of course, are also interested to hear any input you may have on the election. Thank you.             Brian             #BuckTheSystem We have a few volunteers with fairly robust experience in producing videos/commercials for both online consumption and broadcast, so the cost of producing any spots would be non-existent or minimal.  What we’re primarily looking for is assistance with ad buys.  We would also like, if possible, a few Tweets about Mr. Buckley on the LP twitter account (may grab the press’ attention), posts/links to him on the official Facebook page, robocalling/phone banks, and anything else you may think of to get the word out about this great candidate.
