[Lnc-business] Oklahoma petition drive

Wes,  I talked to Paul this morning and it looks like he will be in Ok for another week if you really want more signatures.   I still think not needed, or that we should at least wait a week or so to review what we do have.  Me and Paul did add a few more to the pot while I was there, but proved more difficult then expected, especially when we kept getting side tracked spending hours getting the perfect precinct list, etc., etc.,  Sometime I would be fired up and ready to go for hours, but then had to stop to run an errand with Paul.  Still, when we did get a good set up I was impressed how fast Paul moves through the signatures once he gets to it, and he usually beat me by 4 to 1.   The ones we did collect though, I expect had a very high validity rate, especially on my door to door.
Considering my costs to be there, they were expensive signatures.  Still, I think it was good pr to have an LNC member show up.
Roland

Roland, I hope that you are right, but I'm not 99.9% certain.

But at least if this petition drive fails, there will be at least one more person to share the blame with.

: )    <---smiley face means that I was trying to be sort of funny above.

Thanks for your efforts in Oklahoma. Please let me know how many signatures you collect.

(I changed the subject in the reply email)

Thanks for stepping in to help. We've gotten a substantial amount of free advice on this petition drive, but from you, we got free signatures. Thanks for doing the real work.

I just visited the Oklahoma LP website http://www.oklp.org/
and I donated $150. I put in the comments section: "Tina Kelly, please use this to collect petition signatures at $1.50 per signature if possible. Thanks, --Wes Benedict

I contributed $200 directly to the LP Oklahoma on 11/18/2015 as well, but that was to help with printing and overhead and stuff.

I'm still very nervous about the success of this drive. While the national LP shouldn't spend any more on this, I'd sure would be happy if someone else would donate $1,500 directly to the LP Oklahoma so they can add another 1,000 signatures to the buffer.

Go here, then select the "DONATE!" menu tab, and you can donate by paypal or credit card:

| Wes. Have been out and about in OK with Paul and collected some additional signatures. The cooler weather and OK rules make slow going but still adding to cushion. In reviewing situation I am 99.9% certain we have well exceeded our goals and there should be no big surprise that will effect this. |
