For those interested in my vote, the TL;DR of this email is that I vote
Aye, superseding my Alternate's earlier vote. For those interested in the
reasoning behind my vote, please continue reading.

As a co-sponsor of this motion, I found great importance in the
conversation this motion facilitated as we discuss our role we are having
about how we support our affiliates and their outreach. I also share some
of the concerns raised by Mr. Katz, Mr. Starr, and Ms. Mattson.

Personally, I'd like to see a greater effort by LPCO to raise the funds
we're considering authorizing to make this effort a rousing success. At
this point in our existence, I think we should be better at planning,
scheduling, and executing events, and even moreso when it comes to raising
necessary funds and adequately budgeting to support those efforts. When it
comes to supporter-funded outreach, a well-crafted ask by a state party
organization should easily generate the $600 in funds being requested, as
we share a compelling outreach opportunity.

I see the tremendous potential in an outreach event beyond our efforts at
more traditional venues like gun shows, county fairs, and PRIDE festivals,
especially in a year where we field the most high-profile Presidential
ticket in our history. I find it important to encourage this type of
outreach at DragonCon, music festivals, and other "non-traditional" events
where we will spark many people's interest in libertarianism.

If you made it this far, thanks. :-)

Brett C. Bittner

Region 3 Representative
Libertarian National Committee
