To be clear, I wasn't asking the Chair to override the LNC and call a meeting.  My comments are directed to the LNC as a whole, not you.  If we're not going to meet, it would be nice to at least have a few members perhaps weigh in as to why email ballots - which basically exist, so far as I can tell, because in the past the technology for synchronous meetings didn't exist - are a better way to resolve this question, given the parliamentary constraints I mentioned this morning.
However, I don't think I'll get 6 requstors.  Given that, what is the feeling about an informal teleconference at which no business is discussed?

Four members of the LNC have requested an online meeting on September 25.

I anticipate flying to New York on that day, since there's something

happening on Long Island the day after, but my personal availability

should not be the deciding factor.

The bigger concern I have with calling a meeting is that only 4 out of

25 members and alternates have indicated a desire for one.  If a

majority of the committee wants a meeting, I'll call one.  If not, I

won't.
