I applaud your efforts here, Caryn Ann. We must not lose sight of our
history. I had the same thoughts when I was in the building on Saturday
evening. All of these file cabinets full of great history of the party
should be digitized and archived. Disk space is cheaper than real
estate, and electronic copies mean we can have an easy backup of all the
data.

Given that this is to be a group effort, I would suggest that LPedia is
probably the right place to place all of this information. The Wiki
format better allows for collaborative volunteer projects.

I can train some people on how I scanned in and used OCR to transcribe
the old platforms for LPedia. It's pretty straight forward, and makes
the content searchable.

Some of it already exists however- so I am in that information gathering stage as well. My thoughts are to tackle the most general interest items first such as, obviously LP News which we have going back to 1972.
