I think Nashville makes sense, given the proximity.
>From downtown Nashville to the "most complete" peak in KY it's about 75
minutes to drive, and 150 minutes to the "longest eclipse" part in IL.
>From downtown St Louis it's 120 minutes to the "longest eclipse" in IL,
and 200 minutes to the "most complete" peak in KY.
>From downtown Louisville, KY it's 200 minutes to the "longest eclipse"
in IL, and 160 minutes to the "most complete" peak in KY.
I personally plan to watch in KY, at the point of greatest darkness.
Also, because it's KY... Even if it is a lengthy drive of almost 5 hours
each way from my home...
