[Lnc-business] August Meeting Location / Eclipse Activism Idea

I would like to propose Salt Lake City for these various reasons (and we
could do some of Starchild's ideas there):
The LNC has not been there since the 1993 convention. Joe and Cindy
Buchman volunteered to host a BBQ Saturday night, as well as arrange for
anyone staying until Monday to drive north with them for the eclipse.
Former LNC member Dan Karlan lives just a few miles south of the path of
totality (in Idaho) and is willing to help with arrangements there too.
He could probably also get a training room they use available for the LNC
to use for free - but then it's an issue of getting from hotels to there.
So probably better to find a hotel nearer the airport with free meeting
room- but that is another option.
But most importantly - eclipse-wise - the main reason is the attached
photo. On the Monday after the meeting you must (IMO of Joe Buchman) be
under the path of totality.
A full interactive map is here:

But the problem with say Kansas City or St. Louis (which are very near
totality), is clouds.
A cloudy day ruins an eclipse.
Finally in terms of party building, and fairness in moving meetings around,
Salt Lake City and Utah are due.
Great airport. Great public transportation. Joe offered to help Robert
find a perfect meeting location. etc.
