[Lnc-business] Email Ballot 2017-10: Donation to the Mark Wicks campaign

I completely agree that we need to provide value to states like Montana
that do not struggle with ballot access. I believe, long-term, that the
value we provide them has to be more than returning donor money - not that
we shouldn't do that, but we need to do more. Thankfully, I think we took
a step in that direction: when states without ballot access struggles ask
what we provide, we can tell them we work to get their members, if they
seek it, appointed to federal office. (By the way, I hear there's an
opening for FBI Director.)

Here's where I stand on this. I understand the timing concerns, and I wish
we had either gotten this request earlier, or had done it earlier on our
initiative. That said, I don't think it's too late, if a few things
happen. I'd like to hear that, if this happens, he will use a professional
photographer and replace some of the shots on his website. Next, I'd like
to hear that he has his ads ready so that, the day this passes (if it
passes) they can run. He has enough on hand, I think, to make that
happen. I think his best shot here is very simple video ads that show him
outclassing his opponents (short clips) and that show known media
personalities saying he won. Cut a few of those, nothing fancy - we
probably have more than a few people on this very board who could do that
for him if asked - and then use every cent to push them out. If I hear he
will do that, I will vote yes.
