The report states, "Because information provided in the auditor's report concerns the conduct of the audit and matters involving internal controls, such information is intended only for the Committee and management. As such, this document should be treated as confidential." I will forward the report prior to the meeting to those who ask.

>> As noted in the final paragraph of our report, audit committee members will work with Mark Frye and Robert Krause in order to have the 2017 audit committee report completed no later than the LNC meeting prior to the start of the 2018 LP convention. There were various reasons for the slowdown in the overall timeline. One of those was the audit committee delving into issues this year that were not addressed in past years by the audit committee. There have been questions on more than one occasion in the last several months as to the extent of the audit committee's role. I have included text regarding the audit committee from both the policy manual and the bylaws in the first section of our report. As you can see, both are vague. I believe more clarity is needed, with the policy manual presumably being the place for that. This was not covered in our written report but I will include it in my verbal report.
