Good news! LPedia will be opening to general account registration and use
by the end of the day on March 31 (barring any unforseen emergency) This
hasn't been the case in about five years. The batch of records done as an
initial test run by a volunteer (therefore no cost) has been scanned, and
the uploading test went well. Volunteers are going to be put on the task
of getting that all up. The Committee authorized an expenditure for a
round of records scanning that I will be arranging - 1972 through 1996
LPNews- so some of our initial budget will begin to be used - but that will
be for priority items and volunteers will continually be sought for simpler
and lower priority items.

After a lot of tedious preliminary work that needed to be done (such as
Bonnie Scott spending probably over 50 hours cleaning up the database) and
procedural issues, the groundwork is now laid.

Thank you Ed Marsh for attending our meeting tonight.

After a few rounds of smooth participation in opening up the wiki, I will
be asking Wes to put some kind of notification to let Party members know of
this resource.
