[Lnc-business] Enough pussyfooting. Time for a fearless platform.

Spin-doctoring doesn't belong in a Platform. People are not the shrinking
violets we tend to paternalistically assume them to be. Which paternalism
is ironic.
I am very glad the authors of our Statement of Principles didn't take that
approach. I believe we would not have the backbone today to write "We, the
members of the Libertarian Party, challenge the cult of the omnipotent
state and defend the rights of the individual."
*I think heads might explode.*
Today we might have "We the people of the Libertarian Party, promise not to
say anything that would challenge anyone too badly, and will sugarcoat our
words because while we can take it, you must be coddled."
Neither did the men who founded this country in their protests against
rights violations.
We aren't going to out-sugarcoast the spin machines of the R&D.
People want, and can handle, the honest and plain truth of rights.
