[Lnc-business] comment on costs and savings on I.T. projects - Re: LPedia

To expand on what Ken said, while I do also hope cost-savings are 
realized with some of these various I.T. projects (LPEdia, various 
emails systems, LP.org hosting, Raiser's Edge upgrades, etc.), I think 
we've seen over-optimistic projections for savings quite a bit, so I'll 
personally try  not to be overly optimistic about potential savings when 
discussing these projects with the LNC and others.

I think we need to do many of these upgrades even if some of the direct 
expenditures result in being higher than our current direct expenditures.

Other people, feel free to expand on the concept of Total Cost of 
Ownership, opportunity costs, other benefits, etc., but some of the 
direct expenditures that are easily identifiable won't necessarily go down.
