[Lnc-business] Email Ballot 2017-02: Historic Preservation Committee

Historical Preservation expenses will show up as a program-related expense under 90 - Project Program Other Expense. The motion does not state that it will be self-funded project, so we will change that line from $0 to $5000. Contributions for Historical Preservation will get recorded under line 25 - Project Program Revenue. As always, contributions are appreciated. It will be treated similar to Ballot Access, where we do fundraising for the program, but expenditures are not limited to only the amount raised.

My question was more for the treasurer and/or maker as to intent.  Glad to hear fundraising is going well.  That should make it easy to answer the first question - where is the money raised going?

I will say I intend to fundraise as much as possible and have already raised $745.  The website has had issues and people have told me they couldn't get it processed.  But this should be allocated to a budget  item.

Motion:  The LNC establishes a Historic Preservation Committee to help preserve and publish historical documents of the party and to manage LPedia.  This committee is granted a budget of $5,000.  Caryn Ann Harlos is appointed chair with authority to appoint up to 4 others.  This committee will expire at the end of the LNC meeting preceding the 2018 LP National Convention.
