[Lnc-business] appointments to platform, bylaws, and credentials committees

Alicia and Wes can we know which states qualify for appointment?

I'm not an expert on these rules or what the LNC will do at the upcoming

meeting. I believe the rules provide a significantly large window on the

time frame for appointments.



Here are the official rules on appointing:

> ARTICLE 11: OTHER COMMITTEES 1. There shall be a Platform Committee, a

> Bylaws and Rules Committee and a Credentials Committee for each

> Regular Convention. The National Committee shall appoint a temporary

> chair. 2. The Bylaws and Rules Committee shall consist of ten Party

> members appointed by the National Committee no later than three months

> before a Regular Convention. No more than five of these members shall

> be members of the current National Committee. 3. The Platform

> Committee shall consist of 20 members selected as follows: a. One

> member by each of the five affiliate parties having the greatest per

I think some states wait to see who gets appointed by the LNC before

appointing their alloted state reps to those committees.



I invite regional representatives to discuss these appointments with

your states. (And amongst yourselves to become familiar with the rules

and practices).
