[Lnc-business] FW: Ebke Request

Thanks Alicia. I will defer to the will of the body on when the motion should be submitted. However, time is of the essence in light of the May 15th Nebraska primary.

If we delay the motion to the Denver LNC meeting, I will defer to Mr. Hayes, who has graciously volunteered to offer a motion at the LNC meeting. I will confer with Daniel and Nick on motion wording and various options. The immediate priority is making the $5,000 available to the Ebke campaign as soon as possible.

Sorting out the current status...

On April 11, EVH said she'd be willing to co-sponsor something, but current language had not yet been crafted.

On April 12, David Demarest suggested the language, "*Move to contribute
$5,000 to the Nebraska Unicameral 2018 District 32 re-election campaign for Senator Laura Ebke, and **increase expense line 60-Candidate, Campaign & Initiatives by $5,000.*"

After that point, there were other suggestions to do that motion and further do some other things, but no motion language was crafted for those other things.

Today I see co-sponsorships from Katz and O'Donnell, and I presume that they are for the motion in quotes above, and not for the "further"
suggestions for which motion language has not yet been crafted.

So that puts us at three cosponsors: Demarest, Katz, O'Donnell

Given that our email ballots almost always take the full 10 days, and we're now fewer than 10 days away from our in-person meeting, I suggest we just take this up in person rather than getting a fourth cosponsor at this point.

-Alicia
