I sent the note below to staff, but many aspects are now more relevant
to the LNC as well, now that we have our new email system, so thought
I'd forward it to you as well.

Thanks,

Since we have new staff, and an even newer email system, I'm re-sending
this note, which remains relevant.

Staff,

We have recently made some upgrades to our email system. Part of this
involves a backup system that might help should we ever have a problem.
However, along with having backups of emails means not as much privacy.

Please be aware that staff emails are now being backed up, which means
any emails you send or receive through your @lp.org account could
potentially be obtained by a court, your supervisor, members of the
Libertarian National Committee, etc.

Staff emails are the property of the Libertarian National Committee,
Inc., and you should not count on privacy with these emails.

Please use a reasonable amount of professionalism and keep in mind your
emails could end up in other people's hands in the future.

I don't think we have a policy either prohibiting or allowing use of
email accounts for personal information. Just be aware that you should
avoid sending anything personal or work-related that you would not want
to be seen by others later.

I'll go on to say that I have not read any of your emails except for
several from one employee that were directly provided that were related
to 2012 Audit Committee work. And I do not plan or expect to access any
of your emails. Also, I am probably one of the poster children for
writing inappropriate things in email and having people use them against
me later.

Please don't worry too much about this and relax and have normal
conversation via email with all our members and inquirers out there, but
keep things reasonably professional as well. If you have any questions
or concerns, feel free to bring them up with me or someone else.

Thanks,
