Hello Jason,
I'm the Region 3 Representative, of which Michigan is a member. As I
represent Michigan, am aware of the wide variety of members in your
state. I've attended the last two LP-Michigan state conventions. The
past few months, prior to the recent LPM state convention, I was honored
to be a member of the LP Michigan Liberty Awards selection committee
2018, where we vetted the nominations for the Libby Awards. This was a
great experience, as the awards committee was able to read the
nomination supporting statements and histories of various Michigan
residents, and LP members, who have move liberty forward in Michigan.
I mention this as a counterpoint, to highlight that the Libertarian
Party of Michigan has many wonderful people working to advance liberty.
With that said, I understand your concerns, and appreciate your passion
to keep the LP focused on liberty, and not actions and/or rhetoric that
may be harmful to our purpose as a political party.
The national Libertarian Party doesn't have the authority to intervene
with the membership affairs of state affiliates. That is up to the
state affiliates themselves. You may wish to address your concerns to
the LPM, as that is the proper body for handling such concerns.
Kind regards,
Elizabeth Van Horn

I realize the whole Audacious thing is about being "so outrageous they can't be ignored", but he is openly advocating for domestic terrorists to join the party. Between this and certain other members of the danger caucus who claim to be actively recruiting Antifa, I am considering withdrawing any future support for this Party as I cannot in good conscience be associated with such things. My wife is already reluctant to join and needless to say this has not helped me convince her.

I will say that if the so-called "Shadow LNC Rising" aka Audacious Caucus and their affiliated groups ever gain a significant foothold in the LP beyond their little echo chamber (which certainly appears to be their goal) I will leave and never look back.
