So here's an interesting phenomenon. Just this morning I had an issue with
my Android phone responding to a plain text message where it responded in
both plain text AND html. And I thought to myself, "Self, this is very
odd. Why did this happen?" Then I got busy doing campaign stuff, and I
totally forgot about it until now.

So after doing some investigation work, it appears that the default GMail
application on Android phones is going to send in HTML no matter what.

I made a tweak. Try it now. See what happens. If I've done it right, it
should delete the extra content and then convert the last HTML portion to
TXT.

The same as Mr Bishop-Henchman described, the process described to
change settings doesn't work, as the mobile client does not have any
option or ability to change those settings. I have also never signed
into, and don't appear to be able to sign into this email via a gmail
browser client on desktop. Emails semt from my desktop outlook client,
or from the roundcube client apppear perfectly, however emails sent
from mobile do not, and there is no way to edit the settings. There was
no problem whatsoever during the previous LNC term, and none of the
settings on my side have been changed or adultered since then.

We also previously had no issues with replies breaking threads in 3rd
party email clients (roundcube never had the emails threaded to begin
with) until the problem arose with Mr Phillips' responses breaking
   threads.

Is there a feature or change made on the IT side since the convention
that could have caused these issues? Because prior to the convention
they did not exist, and the client side settings have remained the
   same.

The issue popped after the recent setting change, from the prior
practice of the server sending clean messages no problem but for those
who send links and in-line images, it turned those into endnotes. Over
my objection, that setting was turned off. I'm happy to try things on
my end but I'll need direction from the IT folks.
