This is terribly disappointing. I actually like Bill Weld quite a lot
(which some of my friends in the liberty movement may find surprising).
But it is disappointing to learn that he, his campaign, or others within
this movement would fail to endorse your campaign because they want to
"flip" your opponent who is in the GOP, who is not even remotely
libertarian. Despite the fact that I was a supporter of Austin Petersen
during his 2016 presidential run I personally called for Libertarians to
vote for our candidate Japheth Campbell rather than the GOP libertarian
Austin Petersen. I always support our candidates if they truly
represent our ideals. So it is very disappointing to hear that others
in positions of authority within the party may be opposing one of our
best candidates in order to convince a non-libertarian to flip for
electability... I hope whoever is part of this makes themselves known.
