I have received a few questions about graphic design for party merchandise and the process lately. Including wild rumors about processes being circumvented. This quote sums most of then up.
"Is there is an open-bid contract to do designs/marketing for LP National branding coming in September? I’ve asked several Regional Reps already and have received conflicting answers.
This is not about me as a vendor; it’s about transparency and fairness. There are a ton of talented designers and vendors out there whose experience and creativity would be a tremendous asset in the effort to advance the Party brand and give a much needed boost to outreach efforts. With competition you increase interest, profit margins on merchandise, and open yourself up to a sea of talent. Circumventing this process seems counterintutive and a disservice to LP members, to the Party, to the brand and its message."
Since similar questions/concerns are coming from multiple sources, and I myself am unfamiliar with how we are doing that, I thought it worth bringing up.
