[Lnc-business] When will delegate no’s be announced?

You can refer them to LP Bylaws Article 10.4.b, which sets the deadline:

"Notification of the sustaining membership totals and allocation totals
shall be sent by the Secretary to the Chair of each affiliate party no
later than the last day of the sixth month prior to a Regular Convention. "


Relative to our convention date, January 31 is the due date for me to send
the delegate allocations.


Because the bylaws allow anything postmarked by (relative to the 2018
convention date) December 31, 2017 to count, it means that we don't have
the data immediately on the day after December 31.  We were still getting
BREs with 2017 postmarks until a few days ago.  We couldn't call it done
until January 13.


I've had the sustaining membership numbers in my possession for three days,
but have not yet massaged it into the delegate allocation formula.  I will
do that and send it out no later than January 31, but probably sooner than
that.


I could get to it faster if Arvin Vohra weren't dragging us all through the
muddy ditch, but here we are...
