Although I oppose the motion to remove Arvin Vohra as vice chair (but might support a well-written censure motion that makes it clear this is not a statement opposing radical libertarianism), I think Caryn Ann is correct on this bylaws point.

ARTICLE 2: PURPOSES
The Party is organized to implement and give voice to the principles
embodied in the Statement of Principles by: functioning as a
libertarian political entity separate and distinct from all other
political parties or movements; moving public policy in a libertarian
direction by building a political party that elects Libertarians to
public office; chartering affiliate parties throughout the United
States and promoting their growth and activities; nominating
candidates
for President and Vice-President of the United States, and supporting
Party and affiliate party candidates for political office; and,
entering into public information activities.
That Bylaw defines our purpose and it DOES NOT say what this Motion
says "is primary." We have ONE purpose.: to implement and give voice
to the principles embodied in the Statement of Principles with MANY
EQUAL ways to do so.

I challenge the motion on those grounds and ask for a ruling of the
Chair.
We cannot in motions redefine the primary purpose of the Party which
is
NOT that and was VOTED DOWN last convention.

Colour me not particularly pleased. Everyone should have a chance to
argue their case.
Please dont force my hand to co-sponsor the other one in order to
protect Region 1s rights.
