I dislike strife or any issue of even an appearance of a conflict and if I
declare for a position I do not want to have the stress of having to second
guess any “benefit.”
So though I think this was fruitful, once and if I’m a declared candidate
it is not something I want to deal with. My goal in my positions is to be
beyond reproach. So sadly Wes I decline to do any more this season. If I
go to any as a guest or for other reasons I will of course still recruit as
I have done if the affiliate allows and as I have done faithfully for my
tenure.
We have so much else to do that I don’t wish for us to have to go round and
round on this. So I will simply withdraw my participation. We now have a
successful test case to do on off years and I would consider it again in
2019.
I will continue to recruit as always it just will not be my primary
purpose. I don’t want the stress if there is even a slightest question.
It will harm my performance and my tranquility. I would rather be free to
speak freely and be at peace.

That is a crucial difference that I think is important - critically so.
