Wes - WA and AZ are my region. Donors and members are often much more
receptive to people they have a connection with- they give and join when
they see the Party working for them.

Whitney when the recruitment was being planned with Jess, the whole goal
was to save money for the Party. She is in Florida, she would try to hit
the eastern states and I would do the ones cheaper for me (the western
states) AND only ones I thought would have ROI. AZ and WA happened to be
some of the first. The others planned were not region 1. My aim was
maximum effectiveness and cheapest cost for the national party. I was not
going to go to either of those as I went last year and the understanding in
my region was to attempt to make each state once in two years. My personal
focus this year is Kansas and Utah, and unfortunately Kansas is the same
week as our LNC meeting. I went to recruit.

Wes made the points I was going to and just gave up. For things that
benefit the national party travel HAS been paid for for fundraising and so
has other expenses (the party at an LNC member's home - their region btw -
is another). So if I am a good fundraiser, I can only be a good one within
certain geography? Because the main concern is some kind of unsought and
actively discouraged "benefit"? This is where I think we miss the forest
for the trees so I am withdrawing. It isn't a good use of my energy.

With the offer of a private donor I would gladly take that opportunity.
