[Lnc-business] Caryn Ann Harlos fundraising and membership recruitment

If you found it odd or now disturbing directly asking rather than openly
“wondering” or “hoping” is the correct manner.

I followed our policy. I openly discussed this on FB. It is in every
financial report.

It would have been in my report to the LNC in April.

There was no lack of transparency that I saw. I told the members at each
convention that my trip was paid. Fundraising is under the direction of
the ED and I followed that.

Getting a piece of equipment somewhere to do a job is not some unusual
thing. My time was donated. The expense to move my body (the equipment)
to do a volunteer job to benefit the Party is part of fundraising.

And you end with another insinuation that it’s my fault. It doesn’t end
does it.

So I’ll end it. I’ve said what I wish to on that “question” of my “odd and
disturbing” innocent volunteering offer. I trust that answers your question
on that front.

-------------- next part --------------
If you found it odd or now disturbing directly asking rather than
openly “wondering” or “hoping” is the correct manner.

I followed our policy. I openly discussed this on FB. It is in every
   financial report.

It would have been in my report to the LNC in April.

There was no lack of transparency that I saw. I told the members at
each convention that my trip was paid. Fundraising is under the
direction of the ED and I followed that.

Getting a piece of equipment somewhere to do a job is not some unusual
thing. My time was donated. The expense to move my body (the
equipment) to do a volunteer job to benefit the Party is part of
   fundraising.

And you end with another insinuation that it’s my fault. It doesn’t
   end does it.

So I’ll end it. I’ve said what I wish to on that “question” of my “odd
and disturbing” innocent volunteering offer. I trust that answers your
   question on that front.

And if it is spleen venting time well good. I step forward to every
challenge I can. Staff knows they can call me at any time with an
emergency and I will move heaven and earth to accomplish it. If staff
called me today and said hey a big donor is in [wherever] tomorrow can
you meet them and do a ask I would be on a plane to do it.
My work ethic and integrity are something I rightfully earned.
There is nothing that was done outside of our rules. If the LNC
believes a directive or Policy Manual change is needed they should do
   it.
But I will fight back against any untoward comment about my propriety.

I expect now every fundraising expense of the Chair to have to be voted
on which is the absolutely ridiculous level of micromanagement we
   wallow in.

We have an ED who is tasked with growing funds m. We said last meeting
that these brief experiments in new methods are the way to test. He
followed through on that with one that frankly was a success.

I would have signed up 100 more members (that was my goal) this
season. We strain out flies, swallow camels, and disrespect the
   intentions of our peers instead.

I followed procedure and the Policy Manual. I don’t have a crystal
ball to know in advance who would find that insufficient.

I’m not going to devolve into those arguments. It was an inappropriate

I followed protocol as I understood it. This was in the discretion of
the ED. The Chair and Treasurer approves. Staff was openly
coordinating with me. There was absolutely nothing that would have
anticipated this to me as the day to day managers of the Party
   approved.
I think that is pretty obvious considering my angst about pennies on
   steemit.
A few weeks ago I had a concern with something said that could involve
you that was disturbing. I asked you directly and it confirmed my
judgment of you that you wouldn’t condone.
You suggested I would have my platcomm expenses paid while povertaruans
suffered. That is inappropriate but I can’t make you see that if you
don’t and I won’t spend further time trying. A comment of mine about
donating a weekend if I was going to be there anyway (not odd at all )
was twisted into something “disturbing” - couching it with “I wonder”
   doesn’t change that fact.
That was a low comment. If it were made to you you would be requesting
me to call it out. And I frankly would.
