Dear colleagues:
I hope all is well with you. It is my understanding that several
representatives will participate in the conference via electronic
means. Because of this, I anticipate the meeting sessions will be
structured to allow for the possibility of problems with audio/video
quality. In particular, I suspect the voting procedures will allow for
the possibility of such problems.
Hence, I anticipate that I shall be able to participate effectively
via remote means. Of course, in an important sense one never knows how
well remote participation in a conference will proceed until the
conference begins.
If I am unable to participate effectively via remote means, I
consider it likely that other representatives will have similar
problems. If many of the remotely participating representatives
experience difficulties, I suspect those physically present will have to
find ways to accommodate those who are not present. Otherwise, the
organization may face the prospect of making major decisions without the
input of many of its constituent parties.
As always, thanks for your work for liberty. Again, I hope my
comments are helpful to you.
Take care,
Jim
