1. My thought process was to have a group focused on one thing, coalition building. Having a group focused building relationships with groups that can indirectly extend to benefit state affiliates and candidates.
For example let’s imagine a candidate running in a rural district with a large amount of farmers, that candidate could benefit from Pre-existing relationships made with national farmers organizations who’ve overtime had the chance to learn how our views are in their best interest cause we had a party member whose an expert build that relationship.
2. I am not married to the word ambassador, could be representative or anything. The use is to identify experts within the party who may be the best to build a relationship with a particular market. We have many people with unique experiences, knowledge sets and skills throughout the party that would be great speaking to a specific audience. Most of time these people are already doing this kind of outreach on their own, although I believe their efforts can get a boost if they have been given a blessing of sorts through process that vets them at the national level.
3. I don’t see why any money would be needed, these would likely be people already doing this work. The hope would be to identify them and at the same time build up a list of people that members across the country can use to know who to reach out to to help with these targeted efforts which can reduce a lot of redundancy of effort and create a stronger effort with a slight bit of facilitation.
4. If the committee decides funds would be desired for a particular reason they could make a proposal which the LNC can consider but my intention with this committee is mainly relationship building and outreach not running events, providing candidate or affiliate specific support as their already exists committees to focus on these things.
