Dear Fellow LNC Members,

I am with Justin. This is new and not good territory for the Vice Chair, as a candidate for this office I can’t in good conscience make a recommendation for remedy but I do think this warrants a discussion of...

What responsibilities do elected National party leadership have to the party as a whole not just the delegates that chose them in how they present themselves internally and externally. (Upsetting other members is just as much a problem if not more so than upsetting the public)
*Keep in mind I am discussing strictly in terms of national, each states elected leadership and their members should make those decisions for themselves at the state level and so on at the local level.

Is crossing the line in rhetoric that violates the SOP the only line that can be crossed? Or does behavior that broadly impedes on affiliates and candidates ability to build relationships with voters/volunteers/donors matter? (since my impression everyone is here to enable and not impede)

I think I share the sentiment many feel that a precedent should not be set for the LNC to be seen a micromanager of Messaging or Speech of LP members, but does LNC holding its own members accountable set that precedent?

I know many are probably tired of this discussion coming up every few months but if it is then that means the answers to these questions aren’t resolved.

I know I’ve already have seen message box fill up so I know these are questions on people’s minds.

Alex Merced
