[Lnc-business] Fwd: Ohio petition too slow. Help! Get paid$2.50 each!

Sounds like an income tax return. The Government takes the money and gives the money back. Some people get all excited because they get this money. The reality is that the money never should have let the originals hands in the first place.

Expecting a leader of a State Party to take responsibility for their State Party ballot access isn’t a punishment. They should be volunteering. It is an expectation.

Wes has identified that Dustin has a small amount of time to do this while he isn’t working. Elizabeth has pointed out that Dustin intends to give the money back.
That all sounds to me like Dustin has a small amount of time to volunteer to the cause of ballot access petitioning.

This is being portrayed as Dustin is going to get paid to do ballot access in order to show other people that they can get paid for doing this too. He said he would do it for free but no one else is doing it. That brings the question up of why he hasn’t already been doing it on a volunteer basis with this time he now seems to have. How about he show others that they can volunteer their time to get ballot access for themselves in LPO.

I said LPO didn’t live up to their commitments. Dustin then points out that he didn’t make those promises. By becoming LPO leadership he accepted those promises otherwise the “help” should have been refused. Where are the people that came and pitched the LNC on this? Also, apparently we seem to be “forcing” this money on LPO. IF LPO doesn’t want to work for ballot access and doesn’t want our help getting ballot access, why are we forcing it on them?

Through this whole thing I hear a lack of responsibility.

It’s been below freezing in April. Of course petitioning is slow. It’s 36 degrees right now as I type this in Cleveland.

Speaking as a significant donor from a state with awesome ballot access, this makes me not want to donate anymore. I see a bunch of people that don’t really care about their own ballot access. I see a member of the ballot access committee being set to be paid. It’s bad optics. That might not be the case. That is the optic being viewed from my end.
