What would folks think of having a multi-part debate of say three rounds – let all candidates participate during the first round, and allow the top 50% of the field in each round to go on to the subsequent round? If all rounds took place at the same event in immediate succession, this would be inclusive of everyone having initially equal visibility, while giving delegates more opportunity to hear in-depth from the 25% of candidates whom they collectively deem most worthy (by straw poll of those in attendance) after hearing from the entire field on an equal footing.
