Maybe that’s why I never saw that ballot I asked you about before - it
wasn’t on pipermail either. Mystery solved.

Well, I've duplicated the problem with my email messages being
     sent to
        the wrong place.
When I reply to a message that SOMEONE ELSE posted to the list,
     my
email system puts the list name in the "To" field. The problem
     happens
when I reply to a message that I posted to the list...and then my
     email
system puts me (rather than the list) as the name in the "To"
     field.
If I instead do a reply-all, it lists both me and the list as the
        recipients.
That explains why it was happening routinely with the email
     ballot
results. When I send the results, I go back to the message in
     which I
started the email ballot so that the motion itself will appear
     just
below the results for quick reference.
I don't think this was an issue for the whole term (or the
     previous
term), so I think something changed, and I didn't notice.
     Perhaps it
is related to moving the email list to the new server? Maybe my
     Gmail
settings related to sending from my @[1][2]lp.org address to
     accommodate
        the new list...
Our next email ballot ends on Thursday, so let's see if I
     remember this
issue when I send the results. :-)
