Robert,

I assume the prior JC had an email list. If it still exists can you
please forward this:

The LNC is contemplating the following motion and would like to get the
opinion of the prior JC since we really have no procedure for

dealing this this situation:

Proposed Email ballot by Alex Merced:

"I move that the Libertarian National Committee acknowledge the
election of the following to the Judicial Committee for a four-year
term: D. Frank Robinson, Chuck Moulton, Darryl Perry, Ruth Bennett,
Geoff Neale, Jim Turney, and Tricia Sprankle."

Theses seven people gained the most votes by the delegates at convention
but none of them

had a majority.

I use the phrase "acknowledge the election of" instead of your
suggestion, Mr. Goldstein, because the LNC neither has appointment
power for the JC nor are they subordinate to the LNC. This is more in
the nature of our acknowledging the legitimacy of the new JC members. -
Alex Merced

Thanks,

---

Reaffirming my Sponsorship of this motion, agree with Mr. Goldstein that
opinions from Judicial Committee Members would be useful prior to voting
on the motion if can be obtained in a timely manner.
