[Lnc-business] Reminder on committee population

   Since it's two tracks, what about this: if each of emails out the top
   two or three committees we'd most like to be on, and why. It's
   surprised me how often that works out, wishes matching vacancies. If
   there's more requests for a committee than seats, either Nick can put
   together a suggested list we can vote on, or we can vote it out
   ourselves.
   First of course we'd need to settle on what new committees we're
   setting up. I know Mr. Merced and Mr. Smith had some ideas, and there
   are probably others.
   For non-LNC members this sounds like what we're thinking but I'll make
   it clear: I'd ask if we can have a unified application and deadline for
   all the committees, so we can advertise it well. I'd rather not fill
   the non-LNC committee seats without first giving people a publicized
   chance to apply for them, but we have enough time that it can all be
   done by August sometime.
   On that note, any news from Region 8? I'd be hesitant to fill
   committees until they get their representation in order, for fear of
   locking them out for two years.
