[Lnc-business] Seeking Co-Sponsors: Retention & Outreach Committee

On this committee I see the sense since retention and outreach can be very
state (and therefore region) specific. On blockchain Alex mentions
research needed for various laws so that has a sense to it too.

qualified people in a smaller region with only 2, 3, or 4 states an
     opportunity to be represented. (Regions 2, 3 & 4) Otherwise, they're
competing against regions that could flood the application process
with many times the number of people, effectively reducing the odds
that someone from a smaller region would be accepted. It also gives
each of the Regions a "voice", and a vested interest in the process,
and ways to move the LP forward.
I think this also dovetails nicely with outreach and retention
efforts. If people in smaller regions know they're being given
consideration, it increases the percent of actively involved
members. I know Region 3 has been less than charmed by national in
the past, and downright unhappy with national recently. If we as a
managing body wish to reverse that trend, showing ways that Region 3
members can be involved and that national *wants* them involved, is
a step in the right direction.

Yes John that’s the point. We will do a general application

For this committee I can see the purpose. For the block chain

I note though that I’m not a fan of the appt structure - I don’t
     see
any reason in these committees for this regional breakdown and
otherwise qualified people will be overlooked because of imaginary
       lines on the ground.
It will also over complicate the application process.
I’m hoping this structure does not repeat in future proposals.
