[Lnc-business] Email Ballot 2018-11: ACKNOWLEDGE ELECTION OF JC

I realize that in the other thread Dr. Olsen requested that you update the
tally sheet to show that he "would have" voted no, but if you notice his
words carefully, he also said that the tally sheet shows how other
alternates "would have" voted. He's just trying to say that if his vote
had counted, it was a no.

What he really means is that he DID vote no, and it can be found here:
http://hq.lp.org/pipermail/lnc-business/2018/013588.html

It wouldn't be appropriate to record in LNC records how someone says after
the fact that they would have voted had they participated, but since he
actually did it, his should be consistently treated in the tally sheet with
the other alternates who also did vote.

Alicia, the two are tired together. The delegates didn't
     purposefully
decide they didn't want a JC - they were influenced into thinking
     that
one course of action took care of all outstanding business. But
     it
didn't. They trusted the Chair on that, and Nick is only human
     and
made a mistake. But this is why we have to be aware of the trust
     and
be extra careful not to lead people down paths - with trust comes
     more
        responsibility.
This is why I advocate an equitable solution. If the delegates
purposefully decided no JC, I wouldn't like it, but I would
     accept it.
But they didn't, and I think we all know that.
